Letters from Juan is a six-volume series in which Juan Tamariz writes conversationally to the reader as though addressing a close magical friend. Drawing on roughly fifty years of performing and developing magic, Tamariz explains previously unpublished routines alongside their presentation, construction, variations, history, and underlying theory. The series is intimate and informal rather than a conventional encyclopedic course, combining personal reflections with material designed to astonish both lay audiences and knowledgeable magicians. The English editions were translated from Spanish by Rafael Benatar.
