SYNOPSIS:
Sleightly Out of Order is the second volume in Patrick G. Redford’s Out of Order series, expanding his work with memorized decks, stacked-deck systems, and the Redford Stack. Although it follows Temporarily Out of Order, the book is designed to stand alone and includes enough background for readers to begin without owning the first volume. Only a small portion of the material strictly requires the Redford Stack, so magicians using Mnemonica, Aronson, or another memorized order can adapt much of the material.
The routines cover classic and original card plots, including spelling effects, Triumphs, gambling demonstrations, poker deals, storytelling routines, ACAAN-style effects, mental card magic, and variations on the Sellers Diary and Wonder Elizabeth plots. Redford also explores Si Stebbins, Memorized Stay Stack, red-black arrangements, Gilbreath and Kruskal principles, stack transformations, and methods for moving between useful deck orders.
A major feature is the flexibility of the Redford Stack. The book examines ways to move from the stack into new-deck order, Si Stebbins, stay-stack arrangements, poker setups, and other useful configurations while retaining strong performance possibilities. It is accompanied by an online video library that supplements the printed explanations.
