🎩 July Meeting Recap 🎩
While this month’s meeting was a little lighter than some, we still had a great evening of magic, conversation, and ideas for the future of the club.
One topic that generated a lot of discussion was finding better ways to keep members informed about upcoming meetings, lectures, performances, and other magic-related events. Several members suggested some type of shared calendar, and I completely agree that having a central place to find that information would be helpful. My hope is that the website and members group we’ve been building will help cover many of those needs and make it easier for everyone to stay connected between meetings.
We also enjoyed some excellent magic from our members:
🪢 Jim shared a wonderful rope routine and taught us how to magically remove a rope tied to a mug’s handle while the ends remain in full view the entire time.
🃏 Logan demonstrated a fantastic card effect featuring a brand-new take on the Open Prediction plot.
🧠 Max treated us to some impressive mentalism, including a routine using a deck of completely blank, ungimmicked cards that somehow allowed him to read our minds.
A club meeting never feels quite complete without everyone there. We missed Patrick, who was unable to attend because he was undergoing surgery that same day. Thankfully, we’re happy to report that Patrick is recovering well at home and doing great.
We also missed Kyle, who was away attending a work event in Los Angeles, and we’re looking forward to having both of them back with us at our next meeting.
Thank you to everyone who attended, performed, taught, and contributed to the discussion. The Fresno Magic Club continues to grow because of members who are willing to share their time, knowledge, and passion for the art of magic.
See you all next month!
